A lecture on ‘Ill Effects of Over Population in India’ was organised at Panjab University on Friday. The national president of the Taxpayers Association of Bharat (TAXAB), Manu Gaur, was the speaker during the session, which highlighted problems associated with over population. The focus of the discussion was on uneven population growth and its relationship with natural resources. The speaker highlighted how growing population is a major challenge for sustainable development. Kiranpreet Kaur, director PRC, highlighted activities and various research projects undertaken, whereas Devinder Singh discussed various implications of right to birth and population law.
